I am an entrepreneur and inventor with a passion for technology and sustainability. I founded VLGE.com and developed the VLGE AI Software, which allows users to effortlessly create virtual stores, events, and games within minutes, all instantly playable. The platform, which operates as a SaaS, has to date received $4 million in funding from esteemed investors such as Venture Reality Fund, Venrex, British Fashion Council, and BOLD CVC of the L’Oréal Group. Our clients at VLGE include notable names like Charlotte Tilbury, Lancôme, DIESEL, WWD, and McCann Group. I’m particularly proud that we were the immersive platform to digitize the Louvre Museum for the first time ever, transforming selected masterpieces into an engaging, gamified experiences. I have always been driven by the desire to merge digital innovation with sustainability. This led me to create the first-ever global Digital Sustainability study, which included calculations and recommendations aimed at redefining our interactions within digital spaces and how these spaces influence our daily lives. In 2014, I founded Helsinki Fashion Week™ and later relaunched it with a focus on extreme sustainability. It became the world’s first fashion week recognized for its commitment to sustainability and was also the first to introduce a fully 3D Fashion Week format globally hosting hundreds of thousands of visitors during its duration. My journey as a consultant has allowed me to work with an array of incredible organizations, including the European Space Agency, VTT Technical Research Institute, CLOSER, Kering Group, Tesla, Conde Nast, and the Ministry of Environment of Finland, among others. My work has been featured in numerous prestigious publications, including Bloomberg, Business Insider, BBC World Business TV, Dezeen, Designbloom, TechCrunch, WWD, Marie Claire, L’Officiel, InStyle, Nylon, Elle, The Guardian, Le Parisien, Vogue Business, and globally in Vogue Magazine. I have been honored to receive recognition for my efforts, including being named a “Change-agent” by Vogue Australia, a “Sustainable Trailblazer” by WWD, a “Digital Trailblazer” by GQ, and a “Game Changer” by Glamour South Africa. Additionally, I have been featured on top lists by Future Laboratory, ReadWrite.com, and RetailWeek. It was a privilege to receive the Europass SaaS Company of the Year award from the editor-at-large of Tech Crunch, as well as being a recipient of the Epic Games MegaGrant. I was also recognized as the founder of one of the top 11 most sustainable companies in France by ClimateLaunchPad and placed in the top 20 in the EU-funded startup competition by Blockstart. In 2018, I designed and piloted the Eco Village concept, which was recognized as “The most progressive realized concept” by The Independent UK, “By far the most provocative and promising platform” by Forbes USA, and “A platform unlike any other” by American Vogue. My career has also been exhibited at the Fashion Museum of Fashion for Good in Amsterdam, which was a significant milestone in my career. I have had the opportunity to contribute academically, with my essays featured in international schools and universities. I was honored to have my dissertation added to the E-library of the University of Technology in St. Petersburg and included in Russia’s most important citation index in early 2020. As a keynote speaker and lecturer, I’ve been invited to share my insights at major events, including the Global Fashion Summit, SXSW, WWD CEO Summit, Koli Forum, Bio-Economy, and various sustainability-related events organized by the Ministry of Forestry and Agriculture of Finland, the Ministry of Economy and Employment of Finland, Fashion for Good, FashionSustain Summit in Berlin, Sustainable Fashion Summit in South Korea, and WGSN, among others. As a mentor and jury member, I’ve been actively involved in initiatives like iBEX VTT Technical Research Institute and FlandersDC FashionTech Works. I’ve also been invited to share my expertise at international universities such as Bocconi, MIT, Heriot-Watt University in Scotland, IED in Milan, and the University of Arts in Helsinki. Throughout my journey, I strive to blend innovation with sustainability in an interdisciplinary fashion and I am deeply committed to creating impactful and lasting change thought innovation and technology.
